Achievements include successful application of spectroscopic and radiometric measurement techniques to propulsion system exhaust plumes and plasmas in full scale ground simulation facilities. Research on optical properties of condensed bipropellant exhaust constituents, on tactical missile signatures under wind tunnel simulated flight conditions, on bipropellant engine plume contamination, on strengths and widths of molecular lines in the far infrared, and on far infrared gas phase asymmetric mode Fourier transform spectroscopy.
