He graduated from the Engineering School and Tokyo University .
Career
Was appointed assistant professor at Kyoto University. Studied in Germany and France from 1902 and inspected the United States (1904). Appointed professor at Kyoto University (1906). An authority on reinforced concrete architecture, he wrote books on the subject.
