Hide Tajima was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1901.
She joined the Shin Fujin Kyokai (New Women's Association), participated in woman suffrage campaign. She became chief secretary of Kanto Women's Union, and an organizer of the Communist cell Zenkyo (1927), arrested (1928). After the war she was elected once to the Diet from Aichi Prefecture. A member of the Tokai district committee of the party and director of Peace Preservation Commission.
