Hidekane Oka was president of Tomioka Kogyo Kaisha (Industrial Company) and Chosen Riken Koku Kikai Kaisha (Korea Aeronautical Machinery Company affiliated with Physical & Chemical Research Institute) and director of several other companies and thereafter became president of Riken Densen Kaisha (Electric Wire Company affiliated with Physical & Chemical Research Institute) and chairman of Riken Corrundum Company (since 1953). Held additional posts of director of Chiyoda Soko Kaisha (Warehouse Company) and auditor of (lkida Natural Gas Company.
