After graduation he joined the Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co. After being promised to general affairs section chief of the Nagasaki shipyard of the Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., he went over to the Nippon Kogaku (Optical) Co. in 1935. He became the President of the Nippon Kogaku Co. in 1945 and resigned from the position the following year. He became President of the Mitsumura Natural Color Printing Co. (1949) and concurrently assumed the presidency of the Mitsumura Publishing Co. the following year.
