Career
Entered Railway Ministry and after successive promotions became director of its Supervision Bureau, retired (1942). Became managing director (1942) and then senior managing director of Keisei Electric Railway Company. Appointed president (1947) and then chairman (1951) of Teito Jidosha Kotsu Kaisha (Motorcar Traffic Company), one of the largest taxi operators in Tokyo.
