Served successively as manager of Osaka Shamitsu Kagyo Kaisha (Industry Com­pany), director of By-Products Sales and General Affairs departments and counselor of Osaka Gas Company. Thereafter be­came president of Toyo Mokuzai Bofu Kaisha (Lumber Antidecay Industry Com­pany).
