Hime Sotori was a Japanese waka poet and consort of Emperor Ingyo. Hime Sotori was taken to the Palace to be the second consort of Emperor Ingyo. Fearful of jealousy of the Empress, she lived in a separate house in the Palace compound.

Hime Sotori was born around 430 in Japan. Younger sister of Princess Osaka-no-Onakatsu-hime.
Achievements
Hime Sotori became famous for a waka she composed to express her love for the Emperor. Because of the waka, she became one of the Three Patron Deities of Waka.
The Tamatsushima Myojin Shrine at Wakanoura Beach, Wakayama Prefecture, is said to have been dedicated to her.
