Hiratsuka Un-ichi was born in Matsue City in 1895.

Education

Went to Tokyo and studied painting while working for a publishing company. Studied wood-block printing from Fukotsu Igami, sculptor.

Career

Worked for a publishing company. Teached wood-block printing at Bunkagakuin (The Academy of Culture).
