Hiromichi Nakayama was born in 1900 in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
Learned fencing of the Yamaguchi-Ittoryu school. After coming to Tokyo, became disciple of Shingoro Negishi and received the Proficiency Degree of the Shindo-Munenryu school.
Established a fencing studio, Yushinkan, at Hongo-Masagocho, Tokyo. Istructor of the Metropolitan Police Board, the Imperial Household Ministry and Tokyo University and trained many outstanding fencers.
