In 1929 Hiroshi Tsunekawa graduated from Tokyo University with a degree in Japanese literature.
After graduation in 1929 from Tokyo University Hiroshi Tsunekawa was appointed as professor at Nihon University, then he became instructor at Toita Women's College, and afterward he was an instructor at Zenrin College. But eventually Tsunekawa become professor at his alma mater specializing in modern Japanese literature.
Hiroshi Tsunekawa has written several books on the subject including "Views on The Literature of Meiji Era," "A Memorandum of Ogai Mori" and "A Criticism of Modern Japanese Literature."
