Hirotada Tokugawa

Background

Hirotada was born in 1526 in Japan. He was the son of Kiyoyasu.

Career

Hirotada Tokugawa entered Okazaki Castle (Aichi Prefecture) in 1539. Resisted the Odas, in collaboration with the Imagawas Suruga (Shizuoka Prefecture). He defeated Nobuhide Oda in 1548 and gradually expanded his sphere of influence and made the Tokugawas powerful.
