Hisamori Takeuchi was a military fencer. He is credited with being the originator of the Takeuchiryu school of hojitsu (art of grappling). It is said he was taught this art together with fencing by a God who visited him in the mountains, where he had exiled himself for seven years.
Background
Hisamori Takeuchi was born in 1503 in Mimasaka, Saga, Japan. He was the son of Tamenari Sugiyama.
