Operated Hayakawa Shoten (Store) and became president of Yamato Shoji Kaisha (Trading Company) and auditor of Otaru Bussan Soko Kaisha (Product & Warehouse Company) and Higashi-Otaru Tochi Kaisha (East Otaru Real Estate Company) and thereafter became president of Hokkai Seishi Kaisna (Paper Company) and president of Hokkaido Kami-Tonya Kaisha (Hokkaido District Wholesale Paper Merchants Company) (since 1937). Holds additional post of di-rector of Hokkaido Kako Kami Kaisna (Processed Paper Company)
