Hisao Aruga

Background

Hisao Aruga was born in Nagano Prefecture in 1910.

Education

In 1935 he graduated from Tokyo University.

Career

He was concurrently councillor to the Japan Agriculture Society and director of the Japan Sericulture Society. He was accorded a doctorate and wrote a thesis on the X-ray effects on the sex chromosome of silkworms.
