His latest Wrapp, recently launched in Sweden, offering a new take on social and mobile gifting. The company will reportedly soon launch in the United States., United Kingdom, and across Europe. In January 2012 Wrapp closed its Series A funding from Atomico, Greylock Partners and the Nordic Venture capital firm Creandum.
Niklas Zennström (Skype) and Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn) joined Wrapp’s board of directors.
Prior to Wrapp, Winbladh co-founded and was the Chief Executive Officer of Rebtel, which identifies itself the world’s largest independent mobile Voice over Intellectual Property company, where he still serves as chairman. In 1994 Winbladh co-founded and was the Chief Executive Officer of Sendit Bachelor of Arts, the first mobile Internet company, which Microsoft acquired in 1999.
Hjalmar Winbladh was one of the guests at Startup Grind Stockholm in 2013.
