Ho Nyo was born in 1707. He was second son oi jakuen. His real name was Kosen.

Career
He became Chief Abbot of the Honganji (1743) and Archbishop (1747). A new building of the temple was completed (1760) under his direction. He contributed much to the expansion of the temple's following.
