Fond of learning, he studied the doctrines of the Hosso, Tendai and Kegon Sects and became famous as a scholar priest.
Career
He became a priest of the Shinshu Sect at the Jo-oji Temple in his native province. Wrote many books. In nis late years, he lived in retirement at the Kifukuji Temple Settsu Province (Hyogo Prefecture).
