Bachelor in Chinese Literature, Seoul National University, 1977. Master of Business Administration in Finance, State University of New York, Buffalo, 1982. Doctor of Philosophy in Finance, University Florida, 1986.

Assistant professor University New Mexico, Albuquerque, 1986-1989. Assistant professor finance Santa Clara (California) University, 1990-1996, associate professor finance, 1996—2010, professor finance, since 2010.
