Honryu Seki received a doctorate in medicine and became chief ophthalmologist at Tokyo Municipal okubo Hospital. Made inspection tours of Europe and America and then resigned from the hospital.
He received license of a middle school teacher (1942). Became principal of Mizuho Girls' High School (1939) and then was appointed president of Mizuho Junior College and Mizuho Yosai Gakko (Mizuho Dressmaking School) (1950). Director of Seki Ophthalmic Hospital.
Holds additional posts of director of Administrative Bureau of Aichi Prefectural Private School Association and chairman of Aichi Prefectural Ophthalmologists' Association.
