Career
Called to bar 1878, and has since practised his profession in Montreal. Called to Legislative Council, 1888. Member of Council of Public Instruction, 1890.
Batonnier General of the Bar, Province of Quebec, 1901-1902. Attorney-General, Quebec, 1897-1905. And Speaker of the Legislative Council, 1897-1908.
Roman Catholic; Liberal. Professor of Commercial and Maritime Law at Laval University, Montreal, since 1881. King’s Counsel; Judge of the Court of King’s Bench of the Provost of Quebec since 1908.
