Background

Nicholl, Horace Wadham was born on March 17, 1848 in near Birmingham, England. Son of John and Ann (Wadham) N. (descendant of founder Wadham College, Oxford, England).

Education

General education schools of Birmingham. Studied music and composition under father, and studied piano and organ under various professors.

Career

Increase Mather), July 27, 1889. Organist of various chs. in England and America, 1866-1890, and gave numerous classical organ recitals. Also instructor in counterpoint, single and double fugue, and composition.
