Entered Railway Ministry, served as director of Bureaus of National Railway, Traffic, and Operation, before retirement (1944) was director of General Railway Board. Elected once to House of Councilors. At the time of formation of First Hatoyama Cabinet was put slated as candidate for Transportation Minister.
