Career
Became a page at the Tofukuji Temple of the Rinzai Sect (1373). Visited many temples in various provinces. ShogunYoshimochi Ashikaga often listened to his sermons and once granted him a robe. He also lectured on Confucian classics to the Shogun. Resided in his late years in the Tcnryuji and Nanzenji Temples.
