Was Military Attache to Admiral Sir F. Richards in Burmah, 1885. Was organiser and afterwards Inspector-General of Imperial Service troops in India, a force of 20,000 men of all arms, raised and maintained by the Indian Princes for 1388 defence of Indian Empire. Has Abyssinian, Burma, Indian Frontier, Jubilee, and Egyptian medals.
