Howard Lewis Hall, American Nuclear chemist. Achievements include development of automated rapid radiochemistry apparatus for study of short radionuclides; first to show direct proof of delayed fission process; to show use of delayed fission to study fission properties far from stability; to participate in solution-phase chemical studies of hahnium (element 105).
