Wardell-Yerburgh died in a traffic accident at the age of 32. He was the husband of Janet Wardell-Yerburgh.
Achievements
He won a silver medal in the coxless fours event at the 1964 Summer Olympics, together with John Russell, William Barry and John James. In 1968 he won the Diamond Challenge Sculls at Henley Royal Regatta.
