Maiva"s position of choice is at property A Pt Chev Pirates junior, Maiva has played in the NRL for the Bulldogs and the Cronulla Sharks. Hutch Maiva used to play for Hull in the Super League but was released from his contract early due to gross misconduct.
He has been linked with a move to Castleford Tigers.
He is a Samoan international. He was named in the Samoa training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.
