Hyrum Manwaring

During Manwaring"s administration the school was accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. The student center on the campus, now known as Brigham Young University–Idaho, is named after Manwaring. Prior to being president of Ricks College, Manwaring was a faculty member there.
He first visited the campus to give the Pioneer Day oration on July 24, 1914, and began service as a regular faculty member that fall.
He earned a masters degree at Brigham Young University.
