During Brest-Litovsk peace treaty debate sided with “Leftist Communists”. Saratov Party Organization(s) deleg at 8th All-Russian Party Conference. Newspaper “Kommunar” deleg at 8th Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Congress.
1925 active in “new opposition”. Then member, Trotsky-Zinov’yev Bloc. 1927 at 15th All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Congress expelled from Party for active participation in Trotskyist opposition.
1930 reinstated; 1935 again expelled from Party and imprisoned for “anti-Party and anti-Soviet activities”.
