Ian Wannamaker

Career

New Zealand Ice Hockey League International In 2010 he was selected for the national senior team to compete in the 2010 IIHF World Championship Division II tournament in Narva, Estonia, where he scored two goals in a game against Israel. Wannamaker was named as assistant captain for the 2011 IIHF World Championship Division II tournament held in Melbourne, Australia. In 2015 Wannamaker joined the national senior team for the fifth time to compete at the IIHF World Championship Division II held in Cape Town, South Africa, having also played at the 2012 and 2013 IIHF World Championship Division World War II

Achievements

• 2007 – New Zealand champion with the Botany Swarm 2008 – New Zealand champion with the Botany Swarm 2010 – New Zealand champion with the Botany Swarm and Most Valuable Player of the final 2011 – New Zealand champion with the Botany Swarm NZIHL statistics.

Membership

He has been a member of the New Zealand men"s senior ice hockey team, the Ice Blacks, representing New Zealand internationally on five occasions (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015). Wannamaker was selected as a member of the Ice Blacks after receiving his New Zealand citizenship in December 2009.
