Career
A journeyman, he played for 17 clubs in six different countries. In his country, Pérez could never play in higher than the third division in his beginnings, moving in 2001 to Iberian Peninsula neighbours Portugal with G.D. Chaves where he scored at incredible rate, always in the second division. He had also spells in the country"s top level, with South Carolina (U.S.) Braga and G.D. Estoril Praia.
Pérez returned in 2005 to his homeland, joining division two side Racing de Ferrol, but again had no luck, appearing in less than 1/4 of the season"s matches as his team was also relegated.
He then played in quick succession for Civil Defense Logroñés, Maccabi Herzliya Football Club, Proceedings of the Aristotelian Society Giannina Football Club and UD Melilla. In the 2007 summer, following a successful trial which included a preseason mini-tour of Austria, Pérez signed for Swindon Town on a two-year contract.
In January 2008, however, Pérez left Swindon and signed a contract with Romanian club CS Pandurii Târgu Jiu, leaving the club after two 1/2 seasons with a maximum of nine top division games played (in 2009-2010).
