First trained by Rikan Arashi III in Osaka and came to Edo (1867).
Career
Was jailed for three years for involvement in the murder case of his mistress. After that he became a disciple of Danjuro Ichikawa VIII and called himself Gonjurd Ichikawa. Was a popular actor in the Meiji Era.
