Graduated from Chuo University (1925).
Career
Worked at the Ryogoku Taxation Office in Tokyo, became member of the Tokyo Municipal Assembly and prefectural Assembly. Elected to the House of Representatives six times from the pre-war period to the post-war period. Was appointed Minister of State in the 3rd Yoshida cabinet (1949) and in the 4th Yoshida cabinet (1952). One of the influential politicians in Nagasaki Prefecture.
