She won the Mission Latvia Universe 2005 title on April 7, 2005 and became the first ever Latvian delegate to Mission Universe, with the exception of Evija Stalbovska, who represented Soviet Union in 1990 and Marite Ozers who was born in Latvia but went on to become Mission United States of America 1963.
