Career
He was 1st Chief Minister of Punjab from 15 August 1947 to 25 January 1949. Mamdot took oath as chief minister of punjab on 15 August 1947 on the day of independence of India and after the independence of Pakistan. He governed years, until he was removed from government on 25 January 1949.
He was succeeded by Governor"s Rule.
