Third-generation head of the Igarashi family. At first he was a lacquer ware artist in Kyoto. Moved to Kanazawa at the invitation of Lord Toshne Maeda of Kaga Province (Ishikawa Prefecture) about 1624. It was thanks to him that gold lacquer ware making became a prosperous industry of Kaga.
