Background
Rodriguez-Iturbe was born in Venezuela and has taught at many universities including University of Zulia, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Texas Agricultural and Mechanical, University of Iowa (in Iowa city) and taught for 20 years at the Simon Bolivar University.
Career
He currently serves as the James South. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor at Princeton University. In 2008, he received a special recognition from the World Cultural Council. He graduated from University of Zulia as Civil Engineer and did graduates studies at Caltech and earned his Doctor of Philosophy at Colorado State University in 1967.
