Ihana Dhillon

Background

Ihana Dhillon was born on August 18, 1989, in Faridkot, Punjab, India, in a middle class Sikh family. She has an elder sister, Kiran Dhillon, and an elder brother, Mangal Dhillon.

Education

Dhillon received her bachelor's degree in Tourism and Hospitality from Chandigarh University in Punjab. After her graduation she went to the United States for her post graduate studies in Hotel Management.

Career

Dhillon worked with Hotel Crown Plaza, Atlanta, where a modelling agency offered her an assignment. Later she moved back to India, where she appeared in her first television show, Jewels of Royals, in 2010, with actress Liza Ray for channel TLC. In 2013, she appeared in the movie "Daddy Cool Munde Fool," and received recognition in the Punjabi film industry for her role as Minki, a small town girl who cares for the wishes and wellbeing of her mother.

One of the many diverse roles in her career is that of Ekum, a Journalist from Canada who comes to Jangpura to know more about how women deal with men who are drug addicts, in her movie Tiger (2016) starring Sippy Gill.

In the blockbuster hit, Thug life, released in 2017, Dhillon played the role of Ruchi, a struggling actor who later becomes a con artist with a gang of three men and dupe affluent people to make loads of money.

In 2018, she made her Bollywood debut with the blockbuster series Hate Story IV directed by Vishal Pandya, performing the role of Rishma, a corporate lady who seeks revenge for the murder of her fiancé.

In 2019 she played a role in the Punjabi movie Gulam and was also a part of the much-awaited Bollywood movie, Nastik, starring Arjun Rampal.

Apart of the acting career she has done various commercial advertisements with DLP&, Microsoft, Phillips, Beta, Samsung, Maruti Suzuki, The Radisson, Taj, The Crown Plaza, etc.

She will appear in the Punjabi film Blackia which is to be released on May 3, 2019.
