Specialized in chemistry of complex compounds, platinum metals, methods of analysis, refining, et cetera Discovered shift in rotation of plane of polarization by optically active amino compounds of quadrivalent platinum during their transformation into amido or imido compounds. Studied the oxidation reactions of complex platinum compounds.
Studied the reduction reaction of iridium compounds with the aid of different sugars and demonstrated the connection between the nitro-group and platinum via nitrogen.
