1906 graduate Weaving and Metalworking Department, Stroganov College. 1912 graduate Architecture Department, Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
From 1918 helped with Moscow city planning. 1925 helped found Social of Modern Architecture. Over 60 of his designs received prizes in various competitions.
Most important among the numerous buildings constructed from his designs are: the Communal Workers’ Club-House (1927-1929). The apartment house on Pokrovskiy Boulevard (1936). A residential block in the housing area of the Stalin Automobile Plant (1937).
Higher Trade-Union School Builing (1938). Administration building on Pirogov Street (1939). Several apartment houses at the Molotov Automobile Plant in Gorky.
1918-1945 simultaneously' taught architecture. From 1920 professor, Moscow Higher Art and Technical Workshops.
