Career
After graduate assistant to Professor P. A. Gertsen, Chair of Propaedeutic Surgery, Moscow University. 1926-1952 head, Chair of Stomatology, 1st Moscow Medical Institute. Did research on odontogenic tumors, tuberculosis of the oral cavity, oral sepsis, diseases of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, the salivary glands and war injuries of the face and jaw.
Made special study of dental caries, for which he devised a preventive fluoridation treatment. Devised classification of pericementites which found a wide application in Soviet stomatology. 1926-1958 regularly attended Soviet stomatological conferences.
