Compositions include: Cantico di Gloria (choral); Fedra, 1915; Debora e Jaele, 1922; Fra Gherardo, 1927; L’Oro, 1942; Vanna Lupa, 1947; Cagliostro, 1952 (operas); Cazone di Beni Perduti, 1949 (orchestral); Pastori, 1908 (vocal).

Pizzetti, Ildebrando was born on September 20, 1880 in Parma, Italy. Son of Odoardo and Teresa (Fava) Pizzetti.

Diploma Parma Conservatory, 1901.

Career

Assistant conductor Parma Opera, later teacher. Professor theory and composition Florence Conservatory. Director Milan Conservatory, 1921-1936.

Appeared as pianist, conductor, United States, 1930. Professor composition Santa Cecilia Academy, Rome, 1936, director until 1952. Projecter of drama in mus. compositions.
