Ilia Katerinin was a Russian urban affair master and architect.
Ilia Katerinin was born in Russian Federation.
In 1592 Ilia designed and built the city of Elec. In 1594 he was sent to Voronezh to restore the fortress, which was ruined in 1590 by a Cherkasy raid. Under the supervision of Katerinin, a fortress was rebuilt with eighteen coal towers (more than twenty meters high) and fortified log walls (about four meters high). At the same time, the elements of the internal fortress and the tenements were installed. They existed until the end of the seventeenth century.
