1914 graduate Nezhin Teachers’ Training Institute.
Secondary and high-school teacher. From 1931 associate, Institute of Linguistics and lecturer, Kiev University. From 1946 head, Dictionary Department, Institute of Linguistics.
From 1952 also head, Chair of Classical Philology, Kiev University. Wrote some 40 works.
