Ilya Radozhitsky was born om July 17, 1788 in Vitsyebskaya Voblasts', Belarus.
Ilya Radozhitsky was educated in the Military Orphanage House (later Pavlovsky Cadet Corps).
Ilya Radozhitsky was seconded to the headquarters of the Grand Duke Mikhail Pavlovich (1842), General-Field Assistant Master. From 1844 he lived in Voronezh. The author of memoirs, published in the "Notes of the Fatherland", "Military Journal", "Ancient and New Russia".
Ilya Radozhitsky was in friendly and business relations with P.P. Swine, K.I. and N.I. Field. The author of the unpublished work "World Flora" (parts 1-15; 1 609 watercolors), bequeathed along with an extensive library of the Moscow Society of Naturalists.
