AMANGEL’DY, IMANOV was born in 1873.
Worked as farmhand; during 1905-1907 Revol fought in peasant revolt. 1908 arrested for armed clash with police. 1916 headed mutiny in Turgay Uyezd.
Late July 1916 unified most of detachments operating in Turgay, Kustanay, Aktyubinsk and Irgiz Uyezds. Drilled and trained revolutionaries and set up arms workshops. October 1916 besieged Turgay.
17 November 1916, after the arrival of strong relief forces, compelled to raise the siege. February 1917 his headquarters in Batnakkar was routed by Tsarist troops. Retreated with his men to the steppes and until 1917 October Revol fought against punitive detachments.
October 1917-January 1918 helped establish Soviet rule in Turgay region. Appointed military comissar, Turgay Uyezd. Formed first national Kaz units in Red Army.
Helped partisans in Kolchak’s rear and maintained liaison with Red Army.
