Career
Even though a priest he was fond of military arts and together with Tajima-no-kami Yau practiced swordplay under Ise-no-kami Kozumi, the founder of the Shinkage school. He later mastered the spear from Taizen-dayu-Moritada Narita and founded the Hzo-in school and devised a new style spear known as Kama-yari (sickle shaped spear).
