Background
Ina Chozo was born in 1744. He was the son of Chobe Ina, also a ceramist of Edo, commonly called Chozaburo Ina.

Followed his father's profession and manufactured various articles for tea ceremony use, crockery and wine bottles. Later he changed his name to Chozo and originated a new family tree.
