Career
She was first elected to the Lower Saxon Landtag in 2003, and has remained a member since. She was a councillor in Wesermarsch 1991-1996, and in Nordenham 1996-1998. Ina Korter grew up with four siblings on the family farm near Nordenham.
She trained as a teacher in Giessen, and worked for many years in adult and special education.
Prior to being elected to the Landtag, Korter was a teacher at Paddstock School in Ovelgönne. She has two adult children.
In her spare time, she plays in the all-women band, "Faltenrock".
